"Race to the Bottom: Uncovering the Secret Forces Destroying American Public Education" by Luke Rosiak
The FAIR LA Book Club will return in November 2022 with a discussion of Luke Rosiak's shocking 2022 book Race to the Bottom: Uncovering the Secret Forces Destroying American Public Education. The discussion will be led by FAIR Los Angeles member Claudia Gerstner. Rosiak writes frequently for the Daily Wire and the Daily Caller, and Ben Shapiro calls him "an absolutely indispensable reporter." Max Eden calls him "American public education’s only investigative journalist."
Rosiak began his research as he realized many school policy makers are not parents themselves but are activists seeking to use young students and the education system to implement a sectarian political agenda. Christopher F. Rufo, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, says that the book "exposes the complex network of activists, unions, bureaucrats, and philanthropists who are hell-bent on racializing the American education system and indoctrinating students" and calls it "an essential read for parents, educators, and citizens who care about the future of American education."
