School Board Trustee Candidate Survey

Thank you for your interest in taking this school board trustee candidate survey.  This is an opportunity to let your potential constituency know clearly where you stand on the issues that are important to them.  Responses to this survey will be collected by FAIR Ontario and may be reported on our website.  

    In which school board district are you running for trustee?

    School boards should direct teaching staff to provide extra attention and classroom supports to students based upon race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and other immutable characteristics.

    Boards should create school and program admission policies that prioritise students based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and other immutable characteristics.

    Race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and other immutable characteristics should be considered in deciding who to prioritise for the hiring and promotion of teachers, administrators, and staff.

    White supremacy is a major systemic issue in Ontario schools today.

    School resource officers should not be present in schools.

    Potentially controversial subjects and language, even when age appropriate, should not be allowed for discourse in a school setting.

    I support requiring parental notification and/or approval for student name and gender changes.
