North Texas Chapter

Welcome to the North Texas Chapter of the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR). We are a grassroots, nationwide, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing civil rights and liberties for all Americans, and promoting a common culture based on fairness, understanding and humanity.

An intolerant and regressive ideology is aggressively dividing our culture. Texans face challenges to our civil liberties and common humanity -- at school, at work, in healthcare, and beyond. Texans are frequently exposed to an ideology that teaches us to define ourselves based on the way we look, not by the content of our character.

What We Do

The North Texas Chapter is committed to promoting compassionate opposition to racism and intolerance by treating all people with dignity and respect, regardless of the color of their skin or the circumstances of their birth. We aim to educate and empower Texans with the tools and knowledge necessary to challenge this divisive ideology, wherever it appears. We are building a community to support each other and promote pro-human values such as fairness, understanding, tolerance, diversity, equality, open inquiry, free speech, and constructive, respectful dialogue among those with different perspectives.

We are in the early stages of organizing the North Texas Chapter, and we do have the ability to help you. Everything we do is based exclusively on FAIR’s mission to promote a common culture of fairness, understanding and humanity. We have or are working toward FAIR community online forums, educator forums, school curriculum, high school clubs, workplace diversity training, outreach and advocacy, chapter meetings, and member training. If you need help, reach out to [email protected]

Where We Are

Our geography includes Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties. We are expanding to include Clay, Cooke, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Jack, Kaufman, Montague, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Wise counties, as well. There are chapters in the Austin and Houston too. If you fall outside of these geographic areas and still want to be part of North Texas FAIR, please email the chapter at [email protected] .

An Invitation

There is strength in numbers, and we outnumber those who would divide us! Please join us to:
  • Promote a worldview that rejects learned helplessness and grievance in favor of resilience and gratitude!
  • Invigorate a north Texas community rooted in respect, dignity and our common humanity!
  • Move our culture toward realizing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream, an America in which all citizens live as one unified and tolerant people!
