Minnesota employers are training their staffs to adjust interactions with colleagues based on (assumed) group identities. \u00a0K-12 students are being taught to define themselves based on the color of their skin not on their individual character, abilities and aspirations. Religious communities have been lured and coopted into reinforcing race and privilege hierarchies. These misguided trends are damaging to individuals and to our common life. FAIR Twin Cities is committed to thwarting these examples of intolerance and neo-racism by promoting a shared culture of tolerance and civil rights in Minnesota.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FAIR Twin Cities equips parents, educators, students, politicians, and citizens with the tools and knowledge necessary to challenge illiberal teachings, intolerance and neo-racism. We support citizen efforts to resist adoption of these racist policies in school districts and classrooms. We voice principled opposition when novel illiberal efforts arise in Minnesota communities and institutions. We undertake small projects\u2014currently a reading group, a library outreach project and a pro-human classroom project.\u00a0 We stay connected online using a monthly emailed newsletter and Facebook. We meet quarterly in person to engage national FAIR Advisors and like-minded speakers.
