Read Paul’s Story

On April 13th, 2021, a courageous high school math teacher named Paul Rossi blew the whistle on harm being done to students and members of the Grace Church community by neo-racism masquerading as “antiracism.”

The school’s response was swift. On April 15th, Paul was told not to report to school.

On Sunday April 18th, the head of school sent a letter to the Grace Church community that disparaged Paul’s actions, and asserted that his essay last week “contains glaring omissions and inaccuracies.” The letter also informed the school that Paul had been “relieved of his teaching duties” and would no longer be welcome to enter the building “without prior coordination.”

Paul responded to the head of school, George Davison. We encourage everyone to read this letter.

On April 19th, Grace Church gave the media an email from the head of school claiming that Paul had “misquoted” him.

On April 20th, FAIR released audio from a March 2nd, 2021 conversion between Paul Rossi and the Grace Church head of school that confirm the quotes.

FAIR stands behind Paul Rossi. FAIR supports and stands behind all people like Paul who have the courage to stand up for our children, and to advocate for our civil rights and liberties and for a common culture of fairness, understanding and humanity.
