Joe Rittenhouse is an artist, an activist and a leader who above all else desires to serve with accountability to the students, parents and teachers and taxpayers of Methacton School District. Joe believes, that with the right talent, more responsibility and transparency; Methacton, its students and the community can reach unimaginable heights. Joe is committed to the promise of academic and community excellence which is why he’s running to change Methacton for the better. A 2008 Methacton graduate and longtime community activist, He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Point Park University and has spent his career working on and off the stage as well as in Hollywood productions filmed throughout the Commonwealth. His passion for the Arts began at Methacton where the amazing teachers and students shaped a love for anything and everything creative. Methacton has always been a beacon of artistic excellence; be it the theatre, the orchestra, chorus, or countless avenues for the creative arts. It would be a deep passion of Joe's to uplift these parts of the district the same way they uplifted him. Mr. Rittenhouse is currently serving in a sales manager support role at a local medical company. He is a 5th generation Eagle Scout and prides himself on service to his community and country. Working with groups like the Laurel House has given Joe a special appreciation for community and local service. While attending Methacton Joe was given the opportunity to see the world, and in doing so developed a love for distant lands. He has combined his love of travel and passion for community service, spending time in places like Mongolia, Russia, and Iran to raise money for the Children’s Hospitals of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh! All of this would only be made possible by Methacton, something he has not forgotten. Joe Is newly married to his wonderful wife and lives happily in Lower Providence Township. He attributes his success to his Methacton education and would be honored to serve the Methacton School District, giving back to the community that gave so much to him.
