Melanie is outspoken about her observations of how cultural differences between Canada and the UK were informed by raising a son in both countries. Melanie has been trying to unpack how ideology has been allowed to infuse into institutions like schools, and has read about critical (queer) theory to make sense of things. I recommend watching her conversation on the radical center podcast<\/a>\u00a0for context. We plan to discuss the value of open-mindedness in the face of new evidence, and how we can uphold people’s dignity and agency as they face narratives involving guilt.<\/p>
