FAIR Alberta is aware of Dr. Jordan Peterson’s ongoing sanctions by a professional body based on statements that he made in public but outside of his practice.\u00a0<\/div>

The degree to which a professional body can Influence the speech of its constituents in the public square is an issue for Canadians of all political stripes.\u00a0<\/div>

FAIR Alberta believes this kind of behaviour, coercion, and censorship is unacceptable and at odds with Canada’s fundamental freedoms of thought, belief, opinion, and expression.\u00a0<\/div>

We recognize that these kinds of issues are happening more frequently and are becoming more polarizing. We call on all parties in this matter to pause and reassess their positions.
